Ben Smyth

Ben is a graduate of York University in Toronto. He is founder and co-owner of GO and manages the company’s operations. A communication designer and multimedia developer, he specializes in the creation, installation, and management of interactive materials for exhibitions, institutions, and web-based services. He has applied these skills to the exhibition programming at the storefront.

Ben has created exhibitions, websites, and brand development for institutions including the Museum of the City of New York, the New York Historical Society, the American Institute of Architecture, the Department of Education, NBC, Puma, Yeshiva University Museum, the Schenectady Museum and Planetarium, the New School, the Department of Defense, and the Smithsonian Institution.

Ben’s work at Grand Opening has been covered in The New York Times, New York Magazine, New York Post, FOX, ABC News, NBC News, NY1, Bravo, The Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail, New York Daily News, The New York Observer, The London Guardian, El Mundo, TLC, Fuji TV and Current TV. His exhibitions have appeared worldwide with his most recent installation, When Humanity Fails, exhibited at the Hart Senate Building in Washington, D.C.
